Submission Guidelines
Any University of Arkansas student, of any major, is welcome to submit work. Submissions should be emailed to Annabel Simmons at annabels@uark.edu for consideration. Any questions can be directed to this address.
• Please make the file name the same as the title.
• All submissions must be original and unpublished. Please notify us immediately if your piece has been accepted for publication elsewhere.
• AI: Work created with the use of Generative-AI is prohibited.
• Acceptable Genres: All literary genres are welcome, including poetry, fiction and nonfiction. We also take visual submissions, including artwork (painting, drawing, etc.) and photography.
o We typically accept pieces that are between 500 – 1,000 words but will read up to 3,000 words.
• Formatting: All written work should be submitted as a PDF or Word .docx in 12 Pt. Times New Roman. Multiple pieces may be submitted as separate documents. Up to three poems may be submitted.
• Acceptances: There is no payment for acceptance.
